Reports from Port-au-Prince, Haiti on the Ongoing Violence
as a Result of the US-Supported Embargo and Right-wing
Opposition Groups in the Country

5:01 Haiti General Strike Part II.
Dennis interviews special correspondent Kevin Pina and
studioguest Pierre Laboissierre of Haiti Action Network. The
US continues its support of the embargo and the overall
right wing Opposition Groups and destabalization of the
country. Mostly reported in the corporate media is the
reported violence of Lavalas towards the Opposition, but
what is not being reported is the increasing violence of the
Opposition against suspected members of Lavalas party. While
the US and France squeezes the Haitian government, they
actively fund grass roots organizations that undermine
President Aristide.

A Special Report from Haiti on Ongoing Confrontations
Between Aristide Supporters and the Right-wing Opposition...

01:04  Haiti General Strike:
Special correspondent Kevin Pina on the phone speaks with
Dennis. In an apparent replay of the Venezuelan uprising of
April 2002, US- and French-backed right-wing minority
opposition to Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide
launched a 2-day general strike to further its
destabilization campaign in the hopes that Aristide could be
removed. Kevin describes the effect of the strike and also
the unreported murder, violence and arson against Aristide
supporters. More on this story tomorrow.
