It seems that there are the beginnings of civil war in Haiti. Anti-Aristide
factions have taken control of several Haitian cities and towns since
Thursday, and the movement seems to have momentum.  Aristide's attempt to
retake the city of Gonaive failed as 14 police were killed in an ambush.

Pray for the Haitian pastors and influential church leaders that they might
have wisdom from above as as they advise believers as how to behave during
this time of crisis.  In the Haitian context it is virtually impossible to
be neutral and have your position understood. Pray not only for the
protection of the churches but also that they might have a strong God
honoring stance and testimony during these difficult days.
