The corporate media hasn't stopped spinning *every* story about Haiti
to fit the U.S. foreign policy objectives. The standard cloudy
rationale that they use for their criminal omission of the facts, is
that the relevant story wasn't "newsworthy."

The "newsworthy" discussion is a whole book in itself-by that-I'm
presupposing that everyone knows what I mean. As for "private
purposes" how is it that (your posting) "20270:  (Chamberlain)
Haiti's poor want exiled 'King Aristide' back (fwd)" is considered
"newsworthy?" With all the important stories about shipping
containers on the Cap Haitien customs warf, the post-coup media star
Ibon Villelabeitia sees what he *wants* to see.

This story goes beyond "insight into the local color," 20270 has a
design, and it's to further dehumanize the People of Haiti who are
Aristide's base of support. If you don't like "the N-word" you should
outraged by the prevalence of "chimeres" as an acceptable description
for human beings. Its usage is currently viewed as preferable in the
articles that you're fond of supporting on this list.

The purpose of both of those words was to dehumanize and demonize a
group of people in order to make their extermination tolerable to the
general public. This campaign has been stepped up and I don't expect
the corporate media to report that the Death Squad supporting radio
stations in Haiti are now lauding the appearance of "Chimere
Assassins." And so it goes...
