21301: lyall on '300 deaths' (fwd)
From: jedidiah <postmaster@lyalls.net>
Now we are seeing over and over again the figure of '300 deaths' in
the insurgency. Recently I read 200 deaths. Must have missed the
script.
I have not seen anyone estimate the number of killed in PauP and
environs in the 4 days prior to Titids departure
(kidnapping/demission). I did not personally see any bodies in the
streets up in the mountains but talked with people who saw many
bodies, in Carrefour and la plaine. Many chimeres in stolen pickup
trucks carrying garand rifles, breaking into houses and executing
people then burning them. What they say anyway.
How many were killed in the Ash Wednesday uprising which lasted four
days? Pretty bizarre uprising to make war against the capital. This
was the 'bath of blood' which was long rumoured to be the fate of la
ville.
Ash Wednesday is when the water and power were taken away, by the
way. Feb 29 is when they turned it back on for a few minutes.
I see that our human rights lawyers are looking in Ti Goave now. Too
bad they weren't there in the two weeks after Titid started his
vacation. Probably the 'bath' period before that too. It was
apparently a no go area for anyone as the OP's were hunting for
disloyal citizens. Now they can enter the town? Hey kul! But the OP's
have been driven out? Maybe thats why you are able to go look at the
town, huh?
