Yes it does raise questions.
The ones I find most interesting: just what, exactly, was going on between
Cedras and the U.S.? I know some people say "the overthrow of Aristide"
but, seeing as Aristide did the same as Cedras in the end, I suspect more
layers to the onion. And since when does a capitalist nation spend so much
in renting soon -to -be -exiled landlord's dwellings? Or did they do that
with Baby Doc's properties as well? Knowing the U.S., there should have
been some material advantage to the lessees.
Does anyone else remember Jimmuh Cahtah's concern over "poor Mrs. Cedras"
(she might commit suicide) with disgust?
I don't get it. Anyone have anything solid (Please, solid. facts.
Theories and rhetoric are so rampant on this list, it's wearing. )? k
