From: OLOFFSONRAM@aol.com
1) First(La Toussaint)and 2nd (Les Morts) of November fall on a Monday and Tuesday. Long weekend. Great time to take in some drumming, dancing and singing.
2) Batailles de Vertieres. 18 Novembre. (Great time for a parade. Military and Rara bands perhaps).
3) 5 Decembre. Haiti's Columbus Day. Controversial holiday (where have all the Indians gone?) but rumor has it that Wyclef is coming to town.
4) Second half of December. Christmas Bonuses. Christmas holidays. Mass. (Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us).
5) New Year. Mass. All night parties.
6) 6 Janvier. Les Rois
7) Official start of Carnival season comes after les Rois. <Ban a pieds> every Sunday. Radios start playing Carnival songs. Carnival is early this year.
