23839: Davies. (inquiry) Origin of proper nouns that have become common nouns

From: "Davies, Thomas" <ThomasED@Lee.K12.FL.US>

My daughter is doing a communications project for a Social Studies class
and
was wondering if anyone on the list can shed some light on the origin of
some
proper nouns that have become over time common nouns. Specifically:

kadejak (Cas de Jacques): rape; violence

kadejak: rapist

lwijanboje (Louis-Jean Bourget): quarrelsome or rebellious person; bully;
coarse or repulsive person

pelebren (Pre Lebrun): term used to describe 'necklacing' (throwing a
burning
tire around someone's neck)

kenedi (Kennedy): second-hand clothes

masl kkb (Marcel): clod, oaf, clumsy person

I think I may know the story to one or two of these words, but any kind of
insight would be helpful. As well, if you know other words of the same
nature,
I would like to know.
