24837: Walton (Discuss) re: 24833: Esser: Haitian Parents, Advocates Keep Up The Pressure...
Walton, Robert <robert.walton3@us.army.mil>
The allegation that a school principal and vice-principal have demonstrated
unfitness for the positions they hold should be brought to the attention of
the NYC Public Advocate by the parents of injured parties. The NYC Office of
the Public Advocate exists to represent individuals and groups in matters
such as this. http://pubadvocate.nyc.gov/index.html
IMHO, substantiated allegations of this nature require the removal of the
offending parties from the system, not as a matter of vengence, but to
improve the system. Certainly, no public school system should tolerate
on-the-job racist behavior by public employees or those who suborn it.
Relief-for-cause is appropriate not only for perpetrators but those who
support or protect them.
