25025: Raber (discuss) Neptune (fwd)
from: raber88@zoominternet.net
Speaking to people in Haiti on Saturday May the 7th, it sounds that the
reason Neptune has not appeared in front of a judge is that he refuses to do
so. He also refuses to be moved to the Dominican Republic unless all
charges against him are dropped. The statement about him being near death
was made by a doctor sent by the OAS (The OAS does not recognise the
current government). Three Haitian medical doctors including a psychiatrist
have recently examined him and found him to be weak but far from being near
death. It appears that he has gone on and off the hunger strike and is not
planning to die for his cause. I am not familiar with the details of the
law but it sounds that Neptune is not even wanting to go through the legal
process that he is entitled to. Anyone heard anything about this?
