I have read two distinct versions of the speech, one put out by probably
neo-Dvaliersts that "adds" some things and another that is probaly more
factual.

Subject: 25598: Bob Corbett (ASK) Aristide's famous "Pere Lebrun" speech.
From Bob Corbett:
Folks, someone not on the list wrote to ask about the famous "Pere Lebrun"
speech. I referred him to the English transcript of the speech which is on
my web page: See:
http://www.webster.edu/~corbetre/haiti/history/feb71986/lebrun.htm
He wrote back to ask: Was the sentence anywhere there:
" Ah Le père Lebrun, il sent bon le père Lebrun, il sent bon le père
Lebrun".
As best I can tell, nothing of that sort is in the actual speech.
Can anyone add to this. Is this whole story a myth or is the text I have on
my web page not accurate?
Thanks for your help,
Bob Corbett
