Did you guys see the PBS program on Haiti on Tuesday nite at 9pm?  I
forgot to send the announcement out about it, but several people had
alerted different groups, so hopefully lots of you saw it.  Needless to
say it was the same old, same old - violence, slums, mud, no trees etc.
!! Not a pretty beach or good thing about Haiti to be seen!!

Most interesting was the program's fascination with Guy Philippe - ex -I
thought he was ex army but they said ex police, so who knows!! He was
one of the main features of the program. But the following interview was
very enlightening and summed up Haiti very well. I found it very good
especially statements that Haiti is not a violent country etc. Do read
it - it's worth the time. Even if one doesn't agree with ansolutely
everything, it has strong truths and insights in it.
