26691: Senou: (reply) Re: 26686 (news) Chamberlain: Troubled Haiti delays election again (fwd)
From: Senou <senou@yahoo.com>
ignoring an earlier call by the interim
government for the first round of the ballot to take
place on Dec. 27.
----------
The CEP is an independent Institution and according to
article 191 ?The Permanent Electoral Council
(Temporary CEP) is responsible for organizing and
controlling with complete independence all electoral
procedures throughout the territory of the Republic
until the results of the election are announced?
where this delay comes from? are we talking about
November; The election was scheduled for November and
now it will take place on Jan.8
Welcome to the Haitian politic, in Haiti you can go to
sleep with a done deal at 11:30 PM and waking up at
5:30 AM and hearing a different version in the news.
Prior making the announcement, there should be some
off record discussions between the prime minister and
the CEP; however, if the government has set
deliberately the dates and expecting the CEP to
confirm, these folks are living dans l?iréel du
présent.
This is what I call a lack of respect; do not ever
allow anyone minimizing you in public and do not ever
allow anyone disrespecting your parents, your child
and your wife. There are times when you can play Mr.
and Mrs. Good-person and there are times when you have
to kick butt.
Senou
(Neg an deyo Ouanaminthe) People from this area do not
play nonsense
