PRESS RELEASE # 1



    Preval is not and was never a member of Fanmi Lavalas.  Preval got a
free ride when he became president under Fanmi Lavalas.  Since then,
Preval BETRAYED Fanmi Lavalas.



1. Preval never participated in any meeting organized by Fanmi Lavalas
since 2001.  WHY?

2. President Aristide was kidnapped, sent into exile and Preval NEVER
opened his mouth. WHY?

3. Preval NEVER asked for the liberation of any Fanmi Lavalas political
prisoners. WHY?

4. Preval NEVER demanded of Latortue's De Facto Regime to stop the
repression and killings in the popular neighborhoods controlled by Fanmi
Lavalas. WHY?

5. Preval  NEVER asked for the physical return of President Aristide in
Haiti before the elections. WHY?

6. Preval MADE A DEAL with the international community and the Haitian
Bourgoisie to keep President Aristide in exile. WHY?

7. Latortue's illegal government filed a lawsuit in Florida against
President Aristide and many members of Fanmi Lavalas. Preval is SILENT.
WHY?



For all those reasons, Fanmi Lavalas grassroots-base has chosen Father
Gerard Jean-Juste as the Candidate for the Presidency of Haiti .
