Sorry, David, but you missed it on the marketing.
As a retired marketing and pr professional, I assure you all that successful
advertising executives would never present a test market survey of any
product or service which would have to make a lot of money over the agency's
considerable fees using the techniques mentioned in the Lancet article.
This was (or should have been) a scientific study, not a well-devised
campaign to sell great quantities of stuff/services to people who could
afford them (though not necessarily need them).
Or not? Do opinions on the state of Haiti count as a product? A service?
Who gets/loses the money?
