7774: Bare feet

I believe the bare foot stigma in Haiti has to do with at least 4 things.
1) Some people can't afford shoes so it creates a specific class
distinction,
those that can and those that can't.
2) Poudre or "powder" in English. In Haiti, you wouldn't want to step in
it.
3) This is what i hear the most since I wear shoes as little as possible,
"Wa
blesse wi" (Be careful, you could cut yourself).
4) Its good to be bare footed when you are getting in touch with the
spirits.
