7947: Métropole -- Aristide tells elected representatives to complete their terms in office (#7937) (fwd)

From: amedard@gte.net

First of all, I would like to thank Max for regularly keeping us updated on news
reports.

==========

So Aristide turned his back on his promises to the President of the US, to the OAS
and the Summit of the Americas ... what else is new? Judging from historical
perspectives, should one actually expect Aristide to honor his promises?!

Considering that the Bible directs that one should consider whether he or she has the
authority and the willingness to keep his or her word before it is given, and honor
one's word once it is given (some examples: Leviticus 5:4, Matthew 5:37, Proverbs
6:16-19, Deuteronomy 23:23, Proverbs 11:3 and Ecclesiastes 5:4-5), Aristide's
actions repetitively give little reflection of a Christian role-model.

It would be better that Aristide not make promises, rather than to keep dishonoring
his word.

(Sorry. I just couldn't help myself.)
