Burgemeesters voor Vrede: Mayors for Peace was established in 1982 by Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The international travelling exhibition begins with the tragedies that occurred in these cities. the story continues to current times. Mayors want to protect their cities by the prohibition of atomic weapons. That is why over 5000 mayors from 155 countries state that “cities are not targets”.
