Travelling Exhibition: Straight & Ethnographic Norm

We humans are different from each other! We are all different and we have different opinions. In a modern, open and unprejudiced society, this would not be a problem, but in the narrow-minded prejudiced Sweden it does not really matter. In Sweden such standards on gender, profession, appearance, dialect, sexual taste, origin and functional abilities determine our everyday lives.
Norms are ideas about what is considered “normal” in a society. The normal becomes a set of invisible rules that determine what reasonable behaviour is. Different communities have different norms. Some standards are irrational and have no support in law, but they are nevertheless there. No man can avoid standards. But everyone can choose how they want to relate to them.
