That sounds about right. Actually, I took the time to measure the
length of one of those marches at about 1 km. Assuming a street
width of 8 meters and a very tight 6 persons per square meters
that's a maximum of 48,000. A more reasonnable packing is between 3
and 4, or 24k to 32k people.

There is no way any of those marches reached 50k much less 100k. But
we are driven by wishful thinking instead of common sense.
