The irony is that, if you are educated and professional in Haiti, you
immediately become the enemy (and kidnap prospect) according to the
"oppressed masses" idealogues.
Which in many ways sums up Haiti's quandary: become educated and
reviled, or leave, or stay illiterate, impoverished, malleable.
Not very good choices."
What does it take for some to understand a very simple truth that the issue
here is not about making the educated and professional the enemy or kidnap
prospect. The issue is about the bourgeoisie and its international godfathers
that
have conspired to damn Haiti and the Popular Masses into unspeakable poverty
and the dark ages. The Haitian People are the victims. You cannot blame the
victims. Today those dominant classes are using terror as their main form of
domination to intimidate and bring fear into the psyche of the people. No one
should twist the logic to make the masses responsible for the violence when
they
are the ones who are being killed, raped, deprived of {education, housing,
healthcare} etc. The bourgeoisie with all their skills, their education, their
professions did absolutely nothing to develop Haiti and provide the masses the
means to live decently in Haiti. As Simidor said, they are "part of the
problem", and cannot be part of the solution.
